Digital advertising takes over the UK
The UK is trailblazing when it comes to digital advertising. With the increase in mobile and tablet use, UK advertisers are spending more of their budgets on digital media and paid search ads.
The total UK advertising market will reach £15.8bn over 2015, up 5.5% from last year.
With the UK set to exceed the 50% spend on digital adverts on search engines, mobile apps, globally only about 30% of advertising spend goes on digital media. Many believe this is because it feels much easier to track how effective digital ads are due to easier customisation of digital campaigns in comparison to traditional print media.
This means universities will need to allocate more time to assessing the effectiveness on their adverts using the analytics packages on offer.
