The release in the UK of the Research Assessment Exercise results yesterday provided an opportunity to look at how different universities approached the same subject. Here’s the frontpages of the Russell Group  members’ websites midday yesterday:

Most chose to lead with a full press release (Liverpool, Bristol, Glasgow, King’s, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton and Warwick), some with an edited news story (Cambridge, Edinburgh, LSE, Oxford), a few with extended features (Birmingham, Manchester, UCL, Belfast and Imperial).

Belfast and Imperial both produced videos explaining what the results were and what they meant:
