Using Twitter Moments for the first time
Putting together last week’s post on photographing and live tweeting, I used Twitter Moments for the first time. It’s been around since October 2015 in various guises, but I’ve never found a use for it.
This time I used it to pull together a series of tweets with images. Previously I’d have done this either by embedding the tweets individually or using an external service like Storify.
On this occasion, I experimented with Moments and was impressed by the simplicity of the service and the elegance of the end product. It took a couple of minutes to browse our tweets, make a selection, re-order and choose a cover photo:
This presentation style works particularly well for this situation – a selection of Tweets which all had strong imagery – I’m interested to see in future how it performs with text-only/video-embedded tweets.
